HOW I PAY FOR MY ISLAND NATION, HOUSEKEEPING AND WAIT STAFF, PLUS DIAMOND-STUDDED ROLEXES FOR EVERYONE IN MY ENTOURAGE

I sometimes recommend books and posters and such on my blog. I only do this when I use or see something and think that it is awesome. I don't recommend things in exchange for money, which means I don't do things like paid reviews (which is exactly what it sounds like - someone paying a blogger to write a review of their product) or sponsored posts (which is where a company sends a blogger some product and the blogger then writes a "Hey guys, you all need this righteous consumer good in your life!" post). Know that if I recommend something, it's of my own free will (emphasis on the free).

I do, however, put a lot into finding, creating, and editing images for this site, and I feel like that's worth something, so I try to make this blog support itself through the Amazon Affiliate program. If you open up an Amazon link on my site and buy the product I link to, the Amazon Affiliate program says "Thanks for sending business our way, Katie!" to the tune of four cents per dollar. That means if I link to a $5 book on Amazon and you buy that book, I get ... wait for it now ... twenty cents. I always identify Amazon Affiliate links, and I try to provide non-Amazon links when they're available because small companies and individual-run business typically make more money when you buy directly from them as opposed to going through a third-party site like Amazon. It's going to take me a while to save up for that private island in the Caribbean.

HOW ABOUT WE WRITE THIS IN A WAY THAT FEW CAN UNDERSTAND AND NONE ENJOY?
